Comprehension

When people explain things in confusing ways, it can drive you crazy. It feels as if these people are pretentious and malicious, which is disrespectful and personal. However, those who fail to be clear may not be doing so intentionally. While language is inevitably ambiguous, requesting further explanation can improve comprehension.

It is easy to be unclear when people express or explain. One reason why this can be frustrating is that people feel asking for an explanation is inappropriate and so should be avoided. Conversation, on the other hand, is equal in its nature and in the conversation no one restricts the back-and-forth inquiries and answers. This is why people prefer conversation to one-way communication.
